Each retreat in the Kinaesthesis Sequence is inspired by a seasonal theme. Not just in name, but in movement. Each one invites a different tempo, tone, a distinct quality and intention through the body: fluid or grounded, expansive or inward-looking always in tune with nature’s rhythms
The work stays Pilates. But each session is attuned to the season, and to the body as it is right now..
For example:
Spring in Costa Rica (Emergence & Flow)
We reawaken the body after winter: fluid movement, fascia hydration, joint mobility, and easeful breath. Pilates here supports a playful energy and natural flow, just like the surrounding nature.
Summer in the Azores (Vitality & Expansion)
This is a time for strength, stamina, and spaciousness. Pilates sessions include more dynamic, full-body movement to energize and support vitality, in tune with the open nature of the islands.
Autumn in Norway (Clarity & Release)
A more introspective retreat: movement slows down, refines, and simplifies. Pilates sessions focus on functional alignment, tension release, and breath awareness. Like autumn leaves, we let go of what we no longer need.
Winter in Japan (Stillness & Insight)
Here, we practice stillness. Pilates becomes more subtle: breath-focused, deeply restorative, and inward. Movement becomes a way to listen to the body’s inner rhythm and the silence of the season.
Across the year, all Kinaesthesis Pilates retreats include our core principles: strength, balance, breath, and awareness. But the tone, pacing, and intention of each retreat shift with the season.
It’s a full-body, full-sensory immersion: movement inspired by nature, guided by timing, and anchored in you.
